Head shape: the raised countersunk head ensures an aesthetic screw image and allows a tension-free countersinking of the screw. With the help of the milling ribs on the screw head, the screw can be easily recessed into the wood.
Cut tip with cutting notch: the cockroach groove is a notch at the tip of the terrace screw thread, it is also called a cut tip. It ensures a tumble-free attachment, so the screw grips immediately and can be screwed in faster. This cutting notch does not replace pre-drilling. For a clean finish, especially in hardwood, we recommend always pre-drilling the boards.
Special thread flanks: partial thread has a special thread geometry and reduces the risk of splitting of the wood and cuts effortlessly through hardwood. With its partial thread, it achieves a high pressure between the components to be connected and pulls them firmly together.
Torx drive: with the hexagonal socket drive of the screw, better known as Torx drive, precise and wobble-free screwing of the screw is ensured with the best possible power transmission.
Friction thread: There are several diagonally running ribs above the thread of the decking screw, these are called friction threads. The friction thread on the screw shaft widens the screw hole and ensures a low-friction screwing, reducing heat generation and minimising the risk of breakage of the screw.
Application of the terrace screw: the main application of this terrace construction screw is outdoor patio construction. It is used for visible fixings of decking boards and can be screwed to a corresponding substructure when building terraces made of wood or WPC. This terrace screw is particularly suitable for use in hard wood species, but these should be free from aggressive ingredients.
